- Infilling or other destructions of spring biotopes (e.g. by capture and piping of the spring)
- Establishment of trout ponds or ponds for amphibia in spring areas
- Piping of spring brooks (e.g. in connection with forest road construction)
- Influx of communal sewage
- Acidification of spring brooks (especially in spruce monocultures)
- Drying out of springs by drainage, water pumping or quarrying
